Auckland Branch
Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to our branch survey in March 2019. View the survey results here.
We have learned that our members prefer professional development events not longer than 1 day with preferred topics – emerging trends in psychology, clinical therapies, private practice issues, ACC and Kaupapa Maori matters. These events and lectures can range from free to a $100 upwards depending on length and nature of training. You would like earlier notifications and pertinent topics. We realise, as expected, that our busy schedules and lack of relevance of the PD events on offer, hinder our members’ attendance. Many of our incredible members offered their expertise in presenting some of these PD’s – thank you so much. We are honoured and this is the sense of community that makes the Society what it is.
From the results it was also clear that the majority of the respondents supported the idea of developing 5 sub branches in Auckland. We will be incubating and planning around this and would certainly appreciate your continued input in how to make this happen.
On a lighter note – cheap and cheerful social events seem to remain a winner! We are planning a few of those and will keep you posted.
