Psychology Week

 

Each year the NZPsS has a national Psychology Week.

 

This initiative aims to celebrate psychology, psychologists and showcase the practical ways psychology can be used in everyday life and help people, families/whanau and communities find ways to increase their psychological wellbeing.
Psychology Week features events involving the New Zealand Psychological Society psychologists across the country including public events and media articles on a range of issues. The public are welcome at many events.


The theme  for this year is Moemoeā: Remember the past and dream for the future

Public Events

Saturday 16th May -

"Making sense of sleep: What works and why" - Free online workshop with sleep psychologist - Dr Nicola Cann. 

This workshop offers a more practical and evidence-based way to understand and improve sleep. Kawhe and Kōrero
The IEDP are hosting a series of kawhe and kōrero sessions as a chance to connect during psychology week. These sessions are open to all members of the public who have an interest in learning more about educational psychology. Check out if there is a kawhe and kōrero near you, and pop in during the allocated time for a kawhe on us.
