General Information about the Conference
The New Zealand Psychological Society’s conference is the largest annual gathering of psychologists in NZ. This year our conference theme is "Wellbeing: Individual, Organisational, Community", which has a focus on the cultural, psychosocial and physical wellbeing of people as members of families/whanau, communities, organisations and society.
The conference programme hosts a variety of research papers, rapid communication posters, symposia and skills based, interactive workshops. These presentations will be supported by keynote presentations from Professor Matthew Sanders, the founder of the Triple P-Positive Parenting Program and Director of the Parenting and Family Support Centre at the University of Queensland; Morgan Chambers, trained organisational psychologist, now with her own consulting and executive leadership coaching company; Professor Michael Corballis, President-elect of the International Neuropsychological Society and recipient of the NZPsS 2006 Hunter Award; Professor Gargi Roysircar-Sodowsky, the Director of Diversity Issues & of the Multicultural Centre at Antioch University in New England and Angus Hikairo Macfarlane, associate professor at the University of Waikato.
