About the NZ Psychological SocietyThe NZPsS is the premier professional association for psychologists in New Zealand with a history dating back to 1947. Established as a stand-alone incorporated society in 1967, the NZPsS has over 900 Full Members plus 180 student members & subscribers. Through its national office in Wellington, the Society provides representation, services and support for members around New Zealand, and some overseas. The Society has several primary roles: Representing psychologists to the public, the media
and the Government.
Providing professional support and development to members.
Promoting high standards of ethical and professional practice.
Promoting the discipline of psychology as a science.
Promoting and supporting biculturalism
in the profession.
